When is my coffee roasted?

Every order is roasted fresh after you place it. We don’t warehouse pre-roasted inventory. Your coffee is prepared in small batches and shipped promptly so it arrives fresh and ready for your morning.

How long will my coffee stay fresh?

For the best flavor, enjoy your coffee within 4–6 weeks of the roast date. It will remain safe to drink well beyond that, but the brightest flavors are at their best during the first month.

How should I store my coffee?

Store your coffee in a sealed container in a cool, dry place away from light. Avoid refrigeration or freezing, as moisture can affect flavor.

What does “Smoothly Balanced” mean?

First Light Coffee is intentionally roasted for balance — not overly acidic, not overly bitter. It’s designed to be smooth, approachable, and easy to enjoy day after day without overwhelming intensity.

What grind should I choose?

  • Standard – Ideal for standard Coffee makers.
  • Coarse
    Coarse grind for immersion brewing. Typically used for French Press, Cold Brew or Percolators.
  • Espresso – Fine grind for espresso machines.
  • Whole Bean
    Best if you grind fresh before brewing.

If you’re unsure, Standard grind works well for most standard home brewers.

Are your single-serve pods compatible with Keurig® machines?

Yes. Our pods are compatible with most Keurig®-style single-serve brewers.

Is your decaf chemical-free?

Our Peru Decaf is processed using the Swiss Water Process — a chemical-free method that removes caffeine while preserving flavor.

Are your flavored coffees artificially flavored?

Our flavored coffees are crafted to be smooth and balanced, using high-quality flavoring to complement — not overpower — the coffee.

🚚 Shipping & Orders

How long does shipping take?

Because your coffee is roasted fresh after ordering, please allow three to five business days for roasting and fulfillment. Shipping time will vary based on your location, but most orders arrive within several business days after roasting.

Where does my coffee ship from?

Orders are roasted and shipped direct from one of our trusted U.S. roasting partners to ensure freshness and consistency.

Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not yet entered production, we’ll do our best to update it.

What if my package is delayed or lost?

Occasional carrier delays can happen. If your package appears lost or significantly delayed, contact us and we’ll help resolve the issue.

Can I return coffee?

Because coffee is a perishable product roasted to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, we will make it right.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photo documentation. If your item is defective or incorrect, your sole remedy is a replacement.
